The tournament schedule on BetRivers Poker is about to take on a new format – one that players across the community have been hankering for.
On Wednesday, November 4, players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, and West Virginia will log into their accounts to find the site's first-ever Mystery Bounty tournament.
The $5 Morning Mystery, a test event, comes with a $400 guaranteed prize pool and kicks off at 9:05am ET.
The lobby details for BetRivers Poker's first-ever Mystery Bounty event. The introduction of Mystery Bounty events comes in the wake of the site's week-long celebration of its 2nd Anniversary.
From October 26 to November 1, BetRivers Poker held several promotions and giveaways to thank its players for their loyalty to the platform.
The addition of Mystery Bounty events comes as further confirmation of the site's willingness to listen to its player base in order to provide them with an exciting, challenging, and fun environment to play in.
Same familiar format
The Mystery Bounty events on BetRivers Poker will adhere to the standard structure of the format. And, with increased popularity across the last few years, many regular players are already well-adjusted to the particulars.
If you're not as familiar, here's quick rundown on how Mystery Bounty tournaments work.
As opposed to typical bounty formats, a Mystery Bounty event only awards knockout prizes after players reach the money.
Once the money bubble bursts, the bounty phase of the event begins and each knockout now comes with a randomized prize attached to it. If you eliminate a player, you'll earn yourself one of the unknown bounty sums.
BetRivers Poker is joining in on the Mystery Bounty party. When any player wins a bounty, the amount is displayed on screen and the average prize of each remaining bounty shifts accordingly so you always know which bounties are still available to win and how intensely you should be hunting them.
Mystery Bounty events everywhere
BetRivers Poker isn't the only site to hop on the Mystery Bounty train this week.
On Monday, November 2, CoinPoker announced a site revamp that included, among other improvements and upgrades, the addition of Mystery Bounty events.
The popular bounty format has also spawned new hybrid iterations, such as the Ocean KO events on GGPoker.
