Venetian Poker Live stacked up another record pot on Saturday night when $362K went into the middle on the turn after two players flopped the goods.
The Venetian Poker Live studio was specially built within the newly renovated poker room to support everything from tournament final tables to high-stakes games like the $100/$200 game shown on Saturday night with Jean-Robert Bellande, Brian Okin, Jon Isaac, and the famous loose cannon known mononymously as 'Peter.'
The livestream games have proven to play above their stakes, so far, with several six-figure pots in a night of $100/$200 play. The previous record, a $259K pot between Matt Berkey and Eric Wasserson, stood for just three weeks until a stand-off between Isaac and Peter set a new high watermark on Saturday night by more than $100K.
A juicy flop
Action was four-handed to a
flop, which had given Isaac and his
a straight while Peter held two pair with
. Peter fired $8K from the big blind and Isaac called before Okin joined them with
and a flush draw.
The
fell on the turn and Okin had top pair, but a $40K bet from Peter and a $164K shove from Isaac sent him running for the hills. Peter snap-called and they ran it twice for $362,100.
Isaac was freerolling on the second river card in the biggest pot in Venetian Poker Live history. A
and
dropped on the consecutive rivers and Isaac held on to win the biggest pot in Venetian Poker Live history — for now.
