‘Black Friday’ is not a phrase that poker players like to hear - at least those who were playing online back in 2011 - but GGPoker is making a move to try and remove the sting from the term.
The online platform is applying the more recent meaning of the phrase, following many other retailers in holding a post-Thanksgiving Black Friday Sale. GGPoker's Black Friday Week runs November 25 to December 2, and will see a range of discounts applied to many of its biggest tournaments.
Guaranteed prize pools will remain in place for 90 tournaments across the week, but buy-ins for the tourneys will be reduced - by up to 90% in the case of the GGMaster Bounty.
That means you can play a $108 buy-in tournament for just $10.80 on Saturday November 30, which should mean a huge field and an even bigger first prize for your budget entry.
