The first PokerStars Open series of 2027 has been confirmed for Campione, Italy, from January 8-17.
The Casinò di Campione (pictured) will once again play host to the annual series, which will be returning for its third incarnation. The Main Event will run at a new, reduced price of €1,250, following the recent decision from the operator to adjust pricing across its Open events.
The winner of the previous PokerStars Open Campione Main Event, Elvir Nuhiu of Switzerland, won a little over €200K at the last outing at the start of this year.
1,582 entries made for a somewhat more comfortable field than the year before, when a record-breaking 2,423 filled the venue to capacity during the stop’s first run in 2025.
Expect this room to be filled come January.Sunday Million Live exceeds €1M guarantee
News of the tour’s return to Campione comes just days after the casino hosted the Sunday Million Live event, an offline running of PokerStars’ most iconic weekly online tournament.
The famous seven-figure guarantee that gives the tourney its name ended up outstripped by more than 10%, as 5,213 entries each put up the €250 buy-in to create a prizepool of €1,119,853. The first prize of €100K was won by Ettore Santoprete.
Further details of the full PokerStars Open Campione schedule are expected soon.
