They kept us waiting, but the moment has finally arrived.
On Wednesday, the second installation in GGPoker's Online Poker Millionaires YouTube series hit the airwaves.
In Episode 1, viewers followed the story of Alex 'Pwndidi' Theologis, a Greek professional and regular in both online and live poker arenas.
In Episode 2, it's Kelvin Kerber's time to shine – see for yourself in the video above.
'All parts of my life are connected to poker'
In the episode, Kerber takes viewers all the way back to the start of his poker career.
After dabbling in free roll tournaments, he played his first real money tournament – a $1 buy-in event that a friend staked him in. Kerber went on to win the event and its $4 top prize. Once he paid his friend back for the stake, the Brazilian had a $3 bankroll to work with. And he never looked back. From there, Kerber battled it out online, turning that $3 bankroll into hundreds, thousands, and eventually millions of dollars.
In the years following his humble start, Kerber has risen to the pinnacle of poker. With countless online accolades and a World Series of Poker bracelet already stowed away in his trophy cabinet, he has more than established himself as a force to be reckoned with in both live and online arenas.
While the episode centers on Kerber's run in the weekly $10K GGMillion$ Super High Roller, the Brazilian also peels back the curtain on his lifestyle. Whether it's what he does to prepare for big sessions, the importance he places on familial and social ties, or his bi-weekly tennis lessons, Kerber gives audiences a glimpse into his life on and off the felt.
Kelvin Kerber's first WSOP bracelet came in the Tag Team event. With over $4M in live tournament earnings and a comparable sum won online on GGPoker, Kerber owes much to the game – a reality that he embraces wholeheartedly.
"If I could thank poker for anything, it would be my life entirely," Kerber tells the cameras near the close of the episode. "I would be thanking for all the bad beats because this game is amazing because of it."
Kerber ends his episode with: "All parts of my life are connected to poker. Poker is my life."
