The Mid-Atlantic Poker Open is underway at Live! Casino and Hotel Maryland and the series is gearing up for its flagship event — a $2,200 Main Event with a $500,000 guarantee that starts on Friday, January 31.
The Main Event will offer two opening flights on Jan. 31 and February 1, both at 11:15 am local time. Surviving players will meet on Sunday, Feb 2 for Day 2 and a Day 3 is scheduled for Monday, should it be necessary.
Last year’s Main Event attracted 303 entries for a prize pool of just over $593K. It ended with a three-way deal between Matt Zambanini, Justin Liberto, and Nick Verderamo. Zambanini took the top share of $105K, while Liberto and Verderamo each scored $88K.
Live! Maryland will be filling once again for the Mid-Atlantic Poker Open. Over $1 million in prize pools
The $500K guarantee caps off a series that offered well over $1,000,000 in prize pools, starting with the opening event — a $400 buy-in that drew 202 entries for a prize pool of $67,468. Other events on the schedule include a $220 Mini Main Event with five opening flights from Jan. 26-28 and a Women’s Event on January 30 with a $300 buy-in. Check out the full schedule here.
