There are a lot of ways to prepare for the WSOP Main Event final table.
Han Feng did the usual things. He hit the gym, he studied, and he debated whether or not to wear an outrageous outfit on TV.
"I almost didn't do it."
In the end, he was very glad he did. The outfit was a showstopper with its pink feather boa, white jacket, and no t-shirt. It was like nothing we've ever seen before at this stage of the World Championship, but it was expensive — so don't expect an entire series.
"I would have had the sickest three-day outfit, but I'm not going to spend so much money. This was $200. I'm not about to buy all that, and then I die Day 1. I'm not going to wear this anywhere else."
Han Feng almost didn't wear this. The gym, the studying, and the outfit all came together and worked hard for Feng, vaulting him from the bottom of the chip counts to the second position on the end-of-night leaderboard. He only trails Lucas Jumalon, and the pair are the only players above the 100 million chip mark.

Something's got to give
The top two lead the remaining field of seven players after a slow opening session that subjected players to the pressures of ICM and the weight of the moment. Two players hit the door over the opening six hours, starting with Cyprus' Evagorou Evagorou.
The first-ever Cypriot at the WSOP Main Event final table started with the lowest stack, and he couldn't sustain his comeback after a small early double through the chip leader. He was joined in elimination by Mario Boos, who trailed off from the middle of the pack after a crucial hand against Feng.
Feng was all-in on his hard-charging comeback, but he had
against Boos and his
. The turn, however, was a
, and there was no other help for Boos. The result put Feng on a rocketship to the top, but it sent Boos on the path to ruin. He would eventually bust to Lauri Saaskilahti, who had a decent day of his own.
Saaskilahti is in front of the rest of the pack after starting seventh, and the remaining four are all bunched up below 20 big blinds when play returns with seven minutes left in the 1M/2.5M/2.5M level.
Lauri Saaskilahti was the best dressed among those who dressed normally. Jumalon will start again in the same position, holding a commanding chip lead. He told Jeff Platt after play that he missed a couple of spots, but he "did a pretty good job of bobbing and weaving." He's confident. "I'm ready to go. Ready to win this thing."
Meanwhile, Greg Mueller is the new short stack, and just above him is Jamie Shaevel. Both players came in on the top half of the leaderboard, but they're among a group that was handcuffed by the realities of large pay jumps.
Rounding out the group of players under 20 big blinds are Michael Gagliano and Rami Hammoud. Both are worse off than they started, but Hammoud took the bigger tumble.
The slow-moving day has created a logjam, and it is expected to break in dramatic ways early on Day 2 of the final table. The seven players will return at 4pm PT on Tuesday, with ESPN2 coverage to follow at 5pm PT.
