Alex Foxen jumped over Michael Mizrachi on this season's PokerGO Tour leaderboard with a win in Event #6 at the Poker Masters series in Las Vegas.
Foxen also jumped into play on the Poker Masters leaderboard, where everyone is still chasing Mitchell Halverson for the Purple Jacket. The chase will get serious now with four more events this week and a $25K buy-in at the end.
Foxen's rise to the top spot was inevitable.
Grinder steps aside
The win was good for $272,000 and 272 PGT points, enough to jump over Mizrachi at the top of the PGT leaderboard. Mizrachi had claimed the top spot after wins in the Poker Players Championship and the WSOP Main Event, while Foxen has three wins and 18 cashes on tour.
