Of the 99 eligible events at the WSOP, there’s one worth checking in on before you finalize your team. And that’s because it’s already in the money.
Nick Seward has a decent stack, a sensible price, and a good shot at winning a bracelet in week one. That’s right, if your team includes any of the players still left in the $5K NLH 8-Handed event, you’ll be guaranteed points — and possibly some big ones if they go on to win.
570 players entered, 31 get paid and just 24 remain. At the time of writing, here’s the list of 5 eligible players still competing for the bracelet, and how much of your $200 team salary they’ll cost.
- Nicholas Seward (10/24 in chips): $9
- Justin Saliba (11/24): $22
- Tony ‘Ren’ Lin (14/24): $29
- Renji Mao (17/24): $7
- Brock Wilson (24/24): $20
You could even draft them all and still have $113 left to spend on the final 3 members of your team.
Day 3 of the 4-day event resumes at 1pm PT on Thursday, when our Fantasy draft closes, and will play down to a final five — one of whom will claim the bracelet on Friday.
It’s a long series and there’s no guarantee that anyone will deliver consistently across a packed 7-week tournament schedule, but everyone has potential.
But as of right now, these guys have a little more than potential: they have the promise of immediate points on the board.
