2024 has been a standout year for short-form content. We’d like to think PokerOrg has pulled its weight here but this isn’t about us. This is about everyone else – the individual creators who have entertained, amused, and outraged the poker community throughout the year.
We’re not grading them and there’s no order. All the content here is best in class, and it will help get you through the Christmas holidays to 2025, when we’re sure that all these creators will surpass their brilliance in 2024.
What’s it like playing poker as a woman?
Poker is a male-dominated game. What hope is there in making the game more attractive to women if the majority of players just don’t have the understanding of what it’s like to walk a mile in female shoes? Thankful, Nikki Limo pulled back the curtain.
That one dealer who runs a tight ship
We’ve all encountered her. Marle Spragg captured her perfectly.
Love letter to T levels
Caitlin Comeskey riffed brilliantly on Game of Gold but she also put Nick Vertucci down better than anyone after the Hustler Casino Live co-founder was forced to step down after multiple allegations of sexual harassment. You can find comedy everywhere if you’re good enough.
I’m afraid I won’t win a Golden Passport
The WPT’s $5M freeroll had the whole internet debasing itself in a bid to win a Golden Passport to the tournament. It was all worth it for the odd gem like these bona fide masterpieces from Matt Kiefer.
Who tf is @jaredjaffee21?!?!
Jared Jaffee was asking for it when he came after the content creators during the 2024 WSOP. Thanks to Caitlin Comeskey and Abby Merk, he managed to turn his L into a W.
Every time I have pocket kings
It’s funny because it’s true, Josh Kasen.
The memes
Special mention has to go to Barry Carter. He might not class himself as a content creator as such, although his strategy content with Dara O’Kearney is top-tier, but his memes never miss. Here are three of our favorites, and you can find the rest by following him on X.
The photo
Just a photo to end with, from the master Joe Giron, but this one sums up perfectly what it feels like to win a huge poker tournament. Roland Rokita grabbed his biggest cash when he won the $20k NLH 8-Handed Triton event in Jeju. This is what it felt like.
Roland Rokita wins his first Triton trophy.
