Connor Hayward has won the 2026 WSOP Circuit Main Event at Horseshoe Council Bluffs for $76,797 and his first ring.

John Ypma moved all-in from the button for 700,000, and Connor Hayward called in the big blind.
Hayward would have to fade the world after the dealer fanned a [9s][5s][5d] flop, but maybe it was a case of too many outs, as he found the runout he needed. The board bricked on the [3h] turn and [4d] river, and Ypma was the runner-up finisher.

John Ypma raised to 160,000 from the button, and Connor Hayward called in the big blind.
The flop came [Jc][7s][4s], and Hayward check-called 100,000, followed by another check-call of 350,000 on the [2h] turn.
The river brought the [5d], and Hayward checked a third time. Ypma bet 1,100,000, and Hayward shoved over the top. Ypma thought for a moment, then let it go.
"Did you hit the river?" Asked Ypma.
"It was a trap." Answered Hayward. "I had Kings."

The flop came [5d][5c][3h] and action checked through to the [7h] turn. Hayward led for 160,000, and Ypma called.
The river brought the [4c], and Hayward went large for 650,000. A few moments later, Ypma emerged from a deep tank to make the call. Hayward turned over [6d][2c] for a seven-high straight and Ypma mucked.
