Level 36: 400,000 / 800,000 (800,000) – winner

After Eric Chang raised to 2,000,000, Anil Javani jammed 25,400,000.

Chang went into the tank, deliberating the nearly 32 big blind shove. Ultimately, he found a call and was happy to see he had a dominant hand.

Anil Jivani: [as][5d]
Eric Chang: [ad][9c]

The dealer placed a nine in the window, getting Chang's rail excited, but it was a flop of [9s][8s][2s], giving Jivani a flush draw.

Chang told his crew to "chill" as the hand was still far from over.

The [qd] changed nothing, nor did the [qc] river, and the celebrations could now begin as Chang had won the tournament, with Jivani eliminated as the runner-up.

Chang extends lead

Level 35: 300,000 / 600,000 (600,000) – 2 remain

Eric Chang opened to 1,500,000 with [tc][th] and was called by Anil Jivani with [7d][6c].

The [9d][4s][3c] flop kept Chang's tens ahead, but Jivani had a gutshot.

Jivani checked, and then called a bet of 1,800,000 from Chang to add a pair on the turn with the [7s].

After checking again, Jivani faced a bet of 5,600,000 from Chang, which with added equity, he called again.

The river [2h] completed the board and Jivani checked a final time. Chang deliberated a bit but opted to check, with his tens still winning a healthy pot to open up his lead.

  • Eric Chang - 59,800,000
  • Anil Jivani - 23,800,000

Chang regains the lead in close battle

Level 35: 300,000 / 600,000 (600,000) – 2 remain

Anil Jivani limped with [6h][5d] and then called a raise to 2,500,000 from Eric Chang, who held [ks][kd].

The flop came [9s][7d][3h] and Chang bet 2,500,000 with his overpair. Jivani called with his double-gutter.

The [js] fell on the turn and the players checked to the [qs] river.

Chang bet 5,500,000, and Jivani appeared to be up to dastardly things with his missed draw.

He used a couple of time banks, but thought better of tomfoolery, folding his hand wisely.

  • Eric Chang - 42,000,000
  • Anil Jivani - 39,000,000
